Contemporary & Minimalist
For a contemporary home, slimmer units are always a great choice. Also stoves with minimal detailing or dramatic shapes will help create that contemporary feel. Think streamlined! Black or steel finishes to compliment a minimalist room
Classic / Traditional
Classic and traditional stoves never go out of fashion and there are so many options to choose from
Scandi
For a Scandi look the focus here is about enhancing that bright airy and spacious feel. Bringing the outdoor in with live plants and wooden tones. Scandi designs rely on neutrals, bright whites; sometimes with pops of black and warm tans enhancing natural wood pieces and other nature inspired colours like sage. You cannot go wrong with a white, cream or neutral stove for a traditional Scandi feel.
Colour Pop
Stoves are available in so many different colour choices so whether you want to add a pop of colour and focus to your minimalist décor or enhance your existing colour scheme, you really will be spoilt for choice.
The Setting
You can really use your imagination for the stove setting, here are some great examples of different settings that might get your creative juices going:
- Stone surround can be great for a modern or rustic home
- Entertainment centre with flat screen TVs. It’s possible to create a dual purpose central focal point, sitting in front of the fire and watching the TV.
- Limited space? Then maybe think about a corner wood burning stove
- Wood burning stoves look great in the kitchen with careful planning you can blend in with your existing kitchen units or even with an alcove.
- If simple and modern is your thing? A white brick wall looks amazing against a black stove
